SWDP meeting 5th Spet 2012

Thank you to all those that turned up last night at the SWDP meeting it was an informal consultation, where officers were at hand to answer local residents concern, both Lynn Denham , Cllr Ditta and I were there to answer  questions that arose. It was a very useful meeting and a special thanks to officers along with Lynn for arranging it.

Remember if you have not filled in a consultation form or have not had a say ,you have until 14 th September to do so.

A sad situation which has come to light over the last month. It is in relation to a TRO on London Road between St Martin’s Church on London Road and Wych Elm Close on London Road. I heard about this TRO in December last year. I immediately let the Warden of St Martin’s church know as well as the Rev Ken Boyce about the matter as they and their Congregation would be most affected by this. Cabinet Post & New Objectives

I have been promoted to the Cabinet and now hold the portfolio for safer & stronger communities. Under my remit I will take ownership of policy in the following key areas: -Responsible for delivery of Safer & Stronger Communities key priorities -Oversee the work of strategic housing, licensing & environmental health, sports & leisure,museums, CCTV & community safety and Service Managers for Safer & ... Places for Change -Your Views please

Plans for a Day Centre & Move on Accommodation for Homeless People have been announced by Worcester Community Housing in conjunction with St Paul’s Hostel. The plans aim to tie in with Worcester City Councils Homelessness Strategy and utilize S.A.S.H funding   of £254,00 grant allocation from the Department of Communities and Local Government(DCLG) My Aim of writing this blog about the proposed development in Lowesmoor is to engage fully with residents and get the full facts and concerns out in the public, so that these can be properly aired to the Planning Officers and other Ward Councilors and an informed decision is made.
